4th axis baseplate machining

Stock set up - front vise jaw removed:


2D Adaptive to rough out the profile. The stock width is the same as the model, so the toolpath doesn't try to machine the sides of the stock where the vise is - and doesn't require any clever keepout areas to do so.




This is the result of the roughing operation, with 0.5mm or so stock left for the finishing operation.



There you go. Profile finished.



Holes drilled and counterbored.


Looking good.




Next - tapping the end face so I can screw these parts together.
