Front plate CAM and machining.

Get ready:
Simple enough, now I've manually prepared the stock. This is a circular pattern of M5 tapped holes and two rows of M5 clearance holes, with counterbore to accommodate a cap head screw. Should be simple enough:

Tools set up, ready to go:

Stock set up and probed:

Go!

Circular path, to cut out the middle rather than turn the hole centre into swarf.

Chamfer the hole:

7mm holes for M8 tap.

Spot drill the hole centres to avoid wandering

Then drill tapping and clearance holes.

Done. Now for some tapping....

Finished - fits nicely.

Done - apart from the tapped holes in the end face that hold it to the baseplate. Nice result.
